Ken Allaire, CPIM, CSCP, CPM

Ken Allaire, CPIM, CPM, CSCP, has recently been approved by the APICS Association as a Master Instructor for CPIM and a Lead Instructor for CSCP. Ken is currently working as a Strategic Sourcing Manager for Cardinal Health and has almost 20 years of experience in Supply Chain and Operations Management. Ken has worked in every environment from retail sales to manufacturing and from mom and pop stores to multi-billion dollar organizations spanning various countries. Some of his experience includes project management, quality auditing, purchasing and sourcing in the manufacturing operations environment.

Wanting to enhance his career, Ken joined APICS in 2004 and began to pursue his CPIM certification which he achieved in September 2005. Shortly after he pursued and achieved his CPM and CSCP certification.

Ken has always been a strong advocate of continuing education and lifelong learning. Wanting to become more involved with APICS to share his experience and promote the APICS body of knowledge he pursued getting elected to the San Diego board of directors. In 2005 Ken was elected to the board of directors as the vice president of seminars and began teaching the back to basic program, CPIM & CSCP modules and continues to encourage individuals to pursue APICS certifications. In 2006 he was voted as the APICS Member of the Year and in 2007 as the Board Member of the Year. In 2008-2009 served as President for the San Diego Chapter.

Ceci Anderson, CPIM, CSCP, A.P.P.

Ceci has been an APICS member since 2003 and currently also supports the San Diego Chapter as a CPIM instructor.

Ceci has a passion for continuos improvement and education and enjoys sharing her experience and knowledge as a CPIM instructor.

An experienced Supply Chain Professional with over 13 years of experience as a Materials Manager, Corporate Purchasing and Logistics Manager, Production Planning Manager and Senior buyer.

Certified in Purchasing, Lean & Black Belt Six Sigma by the University of California San Diego.

Ceci's areas of expertise within the manufacturing industry include managing Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Control, ECO Data Engineering, Production Planning, Production Control, Master Scheduling, Shipping and Receiving.

Ceci has experience implementing ERP systems and transferring a manufacturing operation from the US to Mexico.

She is also a fluent Spanish speaker and feels very comfortable working within a multicultural environment with experience managing operations in the US and Mexico.

Ray Barger, MBA, CIRM, CSCP, CPM

Ray Barger, MBA, CIRM, CSCP, CPM is currently Director of Procurement at ViaSat, Inc., a satellite communication equipment OEM, Ray Barger is leading the redefinition of the company’s operating model to reduce cost and increase agility through development of an outsourced, high-performance supply chain. Ray’s previous assignments included Program Director for government development programs.

Ray’s experience includes serving as Vice President, Operations at MultiSpectra Engineering, Inc., (now merged into Tachyon) and as Director, Field Support at Hughes Network Systems. Ray also held Program Manager, Finance Manager and Production Supervisor roles at Linkabit and General Dynamics Electronics.

Cheri English, C.P.M., CSCP

Cheri has over 25 years of experience in Manufacturing and Materials Management. She has a degree in Administration of Justice, earned her C.P.M. in 2004 and her CSCP certification in 2008.

Her experience in Manufacturing includes Customer Service, Finance and a variety of roles in Supply Chain Management (Logistics, Purchasing, Planning, Inventory Control, Warehouse Management, Distribution, and Customs requirements) ranging in companies from small to Global in Aerospace, Maquiladora, Semiconductor and the Biotechnical industries. She is currently the Purchasing Supervisor/Manager for EMD Millipore in San Diego, CA.

Cheri has been an instructor for the San Diego Chapter since 2008, teaching the Back to Basics series and CSCP Review Courses. She has served on the APICS San Diego Chapter Board of Directors since 2002 as VP Publicity, VP Membership, VP Finance, Executive Director and Director of CSCP. She is currently serving as Director of CSCP for the current Board of Directors.

Sue Franks , CPIM, CSCP

Sue Franks, CPIM, CSCP, APICS Master CPIM Instructor

Sue has over 25 years of management experience in Materials, Manufacturing, and Operations Management. She has an MBA in Production and Operations Management from San Diego State University; earned her CPIM in 1991 and CSCP in 2006.

She has experience in a variety of manufacturing environments from start-up to high volume, and has worked for companies such as Sherwood Medical, Medtronic, 3Com, and Hewlett Packard. She is currently Operations Manager for JMAR, LLC, in San Diego, CA.

Sue has been an instructor for the San Diego Chapter since 2001, teaching all five of the CPIM Review Courses, a number of the modules for the Back to Basics series, and is on the staff for CSCP Review Courses and the Lean Enterprise series. She has served on the APICS Rewrite and Review Committees for Basics of Supply Chain Management, Detailed Scheduling and Planning, Master Planning of Resources, and Execution and Control of Operations.

She has served on the San Diego Chapter Board of Directors since 2004 as Vice President, CPIM Workshops; President Elect; President; and Past President. She is currently serving as Executive Director, Education, for the San Diego Chapter Board of Directors.

Sandy Friedman, CFPIM, CIRM, PMP

Sanford (Sandy) Friedman, BS, MS, MBA, CFPIM, CIRM, PMP, ITIL, is a Senior Project Manager at Scripps Health and an instructor in the Operations Resource Management Certificate Program at California State University San Marcos. Sandy has over twenty-five years of industry experience in management, project management, consulting, teaching, and systems development in aerospace and defense, biomedical, pharmaceutical, health care, as well as manufacturing, logistics and distribution industries.

Sandy is a frequent lecturer for APICS and PMI, has been a featured speaker at several conferences and symposia, and has taught at San Diego State University, California State University, San Marcos, Fullerton, Dominguez Hills, and at USC. Sandy is a past president of APICS-Los Angeles, and is now serving as Ambassador for the San Diego chapter. Sandy was also a Board member of the Los Angeles Aerospace and Defense Special Interest Group (LA-ADSIG), and is the recipient of the APICS Milt Cook Award for 2008. Sandy holds a BS from UCLA, an MS from the University of Iowa, an MBA from Boston University, and holds CFPIM, CIRM, PMP, and ITIL certifications. Sandy is also listed in various Marquis’ Who’s Who series.

Cayce Jessup – CPIM, CIRM, CSCP

Cayce Jessup – CPIM, CIRM, CSCP, has over 13 years experience in Oracle and SAP Supply Chain ERP system implementations and support. He has held both technical and functional IT leadership roles in the high tech, medical device, and golf equipment manufacturing industries. Cayce has been involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle, including business requirements analysis, system configuration and customization, data conversion, application interfaces and business intelligence. He has led systems implementations in the United States, Asia, Europe, Australia, Mexico and Canada, and is currently ViaSat. Cayce has been an APICS member since 2002.

Robb Kirschenmann CPIM, CIRM, CSCP, MBA

Mr. Kirschenmann is a respected expert with over 20 years experience in the field of operations management. He has done extensive work in the areas of manufacturing and supply chain management, lean education and implementation, quality management, planning and control systems implementation and support, team building and leadership, cost accounting, and project management. His experience includes over 3 years operational consulting to management in various industries.

Mr. Kirschenmann holds a B.S. in Production/Operations Management from the University of Idaho and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He is certified CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management), CIRM (Certified in Integrated Resource Management) and CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) from APICS (The Association for Operations Management) and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Villanova University.

Mr. Kirschenmann’s expertise lies in streamlining and adding efficiency to all operational aspects of an organization. He has held positions as Director of Global Materials Management for a billion dollar company, Director of Manufacturing Operations for a high technology electronics manufacturer, and Operations Manager for large industrial manufacturing company where he managed a staff of over 150 people. He is currently Vice President of Operations for an electronics manufacturer. Mr. Kirschenmann has been an instructor with the APICS San Diego Chapter for the past 6 years.

Bob Lane

As an established operations professional, he brings more than 25 years of experience from Sony, Textron, Litton Industries, General Dynamics and small market technology companies to his clients. This broad experience brings a visionary, diverse and global approach to his work and has provided him an extensive knowledge with technology, human relations and supply chains.

Bob teaches Supply Chain management and Lean Operations principles to business professionals through California State University, San Marcos and California State University Dominguez Hills. He supports the University of San Diego as a mentor to engineering students and previously has served on the University of California at San Diego Rady Management School’s Business Advisory Board. Bob is the President-Elect and serves as an instructor for APICS San Diego.

Bob received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from California Polytechnic State University and a professional certificate in Construction and Architectural Engineering from the University of California at San Diego. He completed advanced Japanese manufacturing education and Lean training with Sony in Japan and Shingo Lean Six Sigma training with Textron in the United States.

Kaye Cee McKay, CFPIM, CSCP

Kaye Cee McKay, CFPIM, CSCP has over 20 years experience in Operations Management in a variety of industries. Her emphasis is on Inventory Management, accuracy and reduction including the performance measurements/rewards that create lasting change. Kaye Cee is a Qualified APICS Instructor (QI) and believes that learning should be fun as well as informative. She has taught at many Fortune 500 companies and is a frequent speaker at the APICS International Conference, Congress for Progress, 6 Packed and various chapter and region events. She was the alternate chair for the CPIM’s Execution and Control of Operations and on the task force to upgrade the CPIM program. She has been an APICS volunteer for 10 years and is currently an Executive Director of Education for the San Diego APICS chapter.

Sibyl Melin, CPIM, CIRM, CSCP is president and founder of Sundial Consulting Group, Carlsbad, California.
