Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience. Minimum 3 years experience recent buyer/ planner experience in a product assembly company High Volume Asia Sourcing APICS (or other as appropriate) certified, or certification in progress and actively pursuing. Strong recent SAP skills, reporting, ability to effectively use Microsoft Word, Excel Pivot Tables, and PowerPoint.

Duties: Perform MRP Audits to ensure data integrity and accuracy of system generated signals Process purchase orders from system-driven purchasing requisitions Monitor inventory levels and customer service requirements to identify system or process-related concerns that need to be raised Generate and monitor open purchase orders and follow up on any past due or delayed receipts with the supplier, receiving, IQC or inventory control (includes sending open PO reports bi-weekly) Send forecasts to suppliers monthly and hold meetings (in person, teleconference or video conference) to review the forecasted requirements Monitor Inventory DOS targets Adhere to the consignment process for forecasting and releasing orders to suppliers Set appropriate SS targets or ROP's to accommodate for unforecasted demand signals Coordinate the production and allocation of constrained product with manufacturing and distribution to ensure proper use of components and flow of finished product to meet all global requirements in proper priority. Expedite, reschedule or cancel component deliveries as dictated by changes in demand with the goal of continually aligning supply with demand thereby minimizing inventory exposure and realizing revenue opportunity. Extract and analyze data to identify and resolve any barriers to near-term and long-range balance of supply with demand. Support offshore assembly operations as necessary.
