Education/ Experience Requirements:

B.S./B.A. in business or related field required
Two (2) to three (3) years previous experience in Planning in a manufacturing environment.

Duties: Responsible for assembling work order packets to support Master Production Schedule objectives for designated products, utilize MPS/MRP system to schedule dates, and assign quantities to materials being manufactured. Communicate effectively with Operations, Quality Assurance, R&D, and Marketing to exchange information needed to set production priorities and/or to determine product status. Assist in the smooth transfer of new products into production. Prepare and obtain approvals for deviations and interim specifications.

Utilize MPS/MRP system to determine dates and quantities for assigned part numbers. Input data into work order system and generate work orders necessary for material staging and operations.
Ensure material availability prior to release of work orders. Interface with Purchasing and/or Quality Assurance to prioritize raw material requirements.
Maintain integrity of MRP due dates through timely reschedules, particularly past due orders, based on material or operational constraints. Interface daily with Operations, Quality Assurance, R&D, and Engineering to exchange information needed to set production priorities.
Provide information for product status, back order, production-to-plan, and obsolescence for assigned products. Provide assistance in the coordination and resolution of problems which impact the fulfillment of the production schedule.
Update and keep current MRP operating data, including planning lead times, lot size, safety stock, etc
