We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Procurement who will manage procurement activities for Gen-Probe. This will include overseeing supplier relations, supplier quality management, and material requirements planning.
• Develops corporate inventory policy.
• Provides material management system support of ERP system.
• Works with Legal department to ensure binding legal supply agreements and contracts.
• Purchases materials and services.
• Provides support during internal and external audits.
• Ensures compliance with applicable antitrust laws and regulations.
• Ensures compliance with FDA and ISO regulations.
• Establishes, maintains and implements procedures that comply with regulatory requirements.
• Develop business relationships with vendors.
• Establish and monitor procurement practices.
• Assists in developing and managing the department budget.
• Provides on-going support of the company’s ERP system, materials management module.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Typically requires BS and 10-12 years related experience or MS and 8-10 year related experience.
• Management experience required.
• Certified in CPIM through APICS and/or Certified Purchasing Mgr through ISM
• Knowledge of FAR
• Working knowledge of computerized Purchasing/Inventory Management/MRP systems.
• SAP experience helpful.
