Director Continuing Education 2008 - 2010

BA Biology 1988
I have enjoyed the opportunity to serve in many capacities during my career; a database/logistics coordinator for a nationwide training program, a marketing brand manager for two hair care companies, and a partner in a privately-held family agricultural venture. In all vocations it has been clear that every organization needs to build and maintain a strong operations management system and team in order to facilitate growth and profitability.
I am in my third year of volunteering on the APICS San Diego Chapter Board of Directors and have enjoyed meeting the challenges of growing our local chapter membership and educational outreach while working with dedicated professionals and students. Helping others to achieve their educational goals and experiencing their excitement has been very gratifying.
I would like to both build and take two of the new APICS educational offerings, the Lean Enterprise and Global Sourcing programs.
APICS has provided me with opportunities to earn two certifications, meet new friends in the Operations Management field and, most importantly, enabled me to give back and volunteer my time to a worthy organization.

VP Administration 2010-2011
College Ambassador for Northwestern Mutual
Senior at California State University San Marcos
Bachelors of Science in Business Administration
Focus on Supply Chain Management and Global Marketing
Expected Graduation May 2012
I am a single mom who got caught in the Real Estate crisis while working as a Mortgage Broker. I made the very difficult decision to start over at 40 years old and go back to college in an attempt to recreate my career direction. I have succeeded as a leader in both my educational and professional settings. I have interned for phenomenal organizations such as Illumina and NuVasive, and now with Northwestern Mutual. My goal for the future is to graduate this next May 2012 and move into the next phase of my regeneration in a career position with a quality organization where I may meet my true potential.
I am in my second year volunteering on the APICS San Diego board of directors and have enjoyed the experience immensely. I have grown in my operations and supply chain knowledge as well as been given many leadership challenges that have stretched my creative and organizational skills. I appreciate the opportunities offered by this association in supply chain best practice education and the professional networking it promotes.
Thank you members for your support.

I am the newly elected VP of Publicity and my term will run from July 2011 to July 2012.
I am a full time student at CSUSM and my major is Business Administration and Global Supply Chain Management and I will graduate in the Spring of 2012.
I was a Navy FMF Corpsman for 5 years and I served overseas with 1st Battalion 1st Marines out of Camp Pendleton, California. After the Navy I started attending CSUSM full time. This experience enabled me to use the principles I have learned in school to create financially significant recommendations for a multi-billion dollar wholesale company.
